However, due to lack of funds, the original architectural grandeur was not maintained. 62 years later the management of the Football Club 'Shakhtyor' recommended the demolition of the existing building and the reconstruction of the entire hotel to its original features, including the previously eliminated cupola, restoring to Donetsk its cultural heritage and providing the city with its first five star hotel - A benchmark and a jewel of Ukraine. The Palace is 52 meters in length, 44 meters in width and 34 meters in height and spreads over 5 stories and a basement level. The Hotel has been designed to impress the most discerning guests.
