One of the premier Crested Butte Bed and Breakfast inns is the Purple Mountain Lodge. Originally a mining office built in 1923, this building became a Bed and Breakfast in the 1970s when it was rolled down into town on logs. Great in-town location, only two block from the unique shops and wonderful restaurants on Elk Avenue. Newly renovated in the fall of 2003 with the addition of a Spa Room offering in house Massages and a Steam Shower. Our quaint inn is one of the oldest Crested Butte Bed and Breakfast inns. We have five unique guest rooms all with second story spectacular mountain views, TVs with VCRs, ceiling fans, wireless web access, robes, and private baths. A home-cooked breakfast awaits our guests in the morning. Guests also have access to a refrigerator, microwave, filtered drinking water and coffee maker for their personal use. Come in from an action packed day to loosen up in our outdoor hot tub with a mountain view before going in to have a relaxing massage. Then head out to one of our many unique locally owned restaurants for dinner and drinks before heading to bed in one of our comfortable relaxing rooms. Finally, wake up the following morning to the aromas of a home-cooked breakfast, giving you a jumpstart to your new day of adventure. Why stay at a hotel or motel when you can have the comforts of home while playing in the mystical wonderland we call Crested Butte. Children 11 years and under are not recommended at property. Children 12 years and older does not stay free at this location.
