A predominant feature of The Hapuna Beach Prince site is the presence of a series of underground springs. In ancient times, during seasons of heavy rainfall these springs would bubble to the surface creating natural artesian fountains. The resultant streams would provide a source of respite and renewal for travelers along the otherwise dry and barren Kohala Coast. Thus the area was named /Hapuna/ or /Spring of Life/ in the Hawaiian language. There is so much to see and experience at the Hapuna Beach Hotel. You can be busy from morning to night, or if you choose you can relax and soak in the rays on the long white sand beach. The course offers spectacular views of the Kohala coast and the Pacific Ocean while majestic Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Kohala Mountains form the backdrop. In addition, guests may also elect to play at the world famous Mauna Kea Golf course, rated one of the best courses in the state. In addition to the freshwater pool and poolside Jacuzzi, guests can enjoy the white sands of lovely crescent shores of Kauna'oa Bay or no. 1 rated Hapuna Beach. Activities include swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, outrigger canoe paddling, sailing, kayaking, catamaran riding, whale watching and deep-sea fishing. Windsurfing is available just 20 minutes south of our resort. KIDS EAT FREE As registered guests of the hotel, Kids Eat Free when dining with their parent April 1 through September 30, 2008 with purchase of a main course entrée at full price.
