The ResortQuest Waimea Plantation cottages vividly recall a bygone era in Hawaii. Set in one of the oldest and largest coconut groves in Hawaii this collection of beautifully restored historic cottages is surrounded by tropical gardens and sits on a picturesque black sand beach. Voted one of Hawaii's best hotels in 2001 by travel and leisure subscribers. The cottages were originally the homes of the workers at the Waimea sugar mill. They have all been lovingly restored and furnished with a treasure trove of period pieces selected with each cottage in mind. Cottages offer verandahs or lanais and complete kitchen facilities. Guests can relax in a hammock or lawn chair and gaze at the island of Niihau or the horizon, swim in our ocean front pool, hunt for driftwood on the beach, pick fruit from the trees or enjoy a locally brewed beer and some island flavored food at the Waimea Brewing Company. Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of Hawaii, is nearby and the delightful town of Waimea with its back country shops, boutiques and restaurants is a walk away.
